Injury rates in CrossFit are actually comparable to those of many other sports, including weightlifting, powerlifting, gymnastics, football/soccer, and recreational running. About 2–3 injuries occur per 1,000 training hours. Two recent studies conclude that injury incident rates with CrossFit are low and comparable to other forms of recreational activities.
